Overview

Soltag is a mobile‑first, non‑custodial Solana dApp that provides a standardized, on‑chain tagging and discovery layer for assets, accounts, and applications on the Solana blockchain.

It is designed to be simple for end users, composable for developers, and transparent for auditors and ecosystem partners.

Core Goals

Soltag focuses on three core goals:

  • Enable users to tag and discover on‑chain assets in a verifiable way.
  • Provide developers with an open integration surface (SDKs and APIs).
  • Maintain strong security, transparency, and mobile‑optimized UX.

Soltag does not store private keys, does not custody user funds, and relies entirely on Solana programs and wallet‑signed transactions.

Core Concepts

Asset

An asset refers to any Solana address that can be tagged. This may include:

  • Token mints
  • NFT mints
  • Program addresses
  • Wallet addresses

Tag

A tag is a short, structured piece of metadata stored on‑chain and associated with an asset. Tags are immutable once finalized and can be queried publicly.

Examples:

  • Category tags
  • Utility or usage tags
  • Community‑defined identifiers

Ranking

Ranking is a deterministic ordering of assets based on on‑chain signals such as verification status, usage frequency, or community interaction. Rankings are transparent and reproducible.

Verifier

A verifier is a wallet or authority allowed to confirm or validate certain tags. Verification rules are enforced at the program level.
