At Soltag, we are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. This Privacy Policy explains how the Soltag mobile application ("App") handles information when you use our decentralized social tagging protocol on Solana.

1. Our Privacy-First Approach

Soltag is designed with privacy at its core. We operate as a decentralized application, which means:

• We do not require account registration or email signup
• We do not collect personal identifying information (PII)
• We do not track your browsing activity across other apps or websites
• We do not sell or share data with third-party advertisers

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Unlike traditional apps, Soltag does not collect:

• Names, email addresses, or phone numbers
• IP addresses or precise location data
• Device identifiers for advertising purposes
• Contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Biometric data or passwords

3. Blockchain Data (Public by Design)

When you use Soltag, certain information is recorded on the Solana blockchain. This includes:

• Your public wallet address: This serves as your identifier on the protocol
• Tags you create: All tags are stored on-chain and publicly visible
• Transaction history: All blockchain transactions are permanent and transparent
• Reputation scores: Calculated from on-chain activity and publicly accessible

Important: Blockchain data is immutable and cannot be deleted. Once a tag or transaction is recorded on Solana, it becomes a permanent part of the public ledger. This is a fundamental characteristic of blockchain technology, not a choice made by Soltag.

4. Local Storage

The App may store minimal data locally on your device for functionality purposes:

• Theme preferences: Light or dark mode settings
• Wallet connection state: To remember your connected wallet between sessions
• App settings: User preferences for notifications or display options

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the App or clearing app data.

5. Third-Party Services

Soltag integrates with the following third-party services:

• Solana RPC Providers: To communicate with the Solana blockchain
• Wallet Adapters: To connect with your preferred Solana wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.)

These services have their own privacy policies that govern their data practices. We encourage you to review them.

6. Analytics

We may collect anonymized, aggregated analytics to improve the App experience. This includes:

• App crash reports (without personal identifiers)
• Feature usage statistics (aggregated, not individual)
• Performance metrics

This data cannot be used to identify individual users.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect the App and its users:

• All network communications use HTTPS/TLS encryption
• Smart contracts are designed with security best practices
• We never have access to your private keys or seed phrases
• The App does not store sensitive wallet credentials

8. Children's Privacy

Soltag is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has used Soltag, please contact us.

9. Your Rights

Because we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, deletion, portability) don't apply to our off-chain systems. However, you have full control over:

• Disconnecting your wallet at any time
• Clearing local app data from your device
• Choosing which transactions to sign and execute

Note: On-chain data cannot be deleted due to blockchain immutability.
